DIMAPUR, MAY 31: The Confederation of Nagaland Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CNCCI) has demanded that all Ad-hoc Town Committee, Town Committee and Municipal town Administrators to immediately implement the Government order dated September 13, 2021, which was widely published in local dailies whereby the Government has clearly directed the Administrators of all urban local bodies to take steps to include representatives of business communities of their Cities/towns in their advisory committee to take decisions in respect to various business related activities.
In a press release issued by CNCCI chairman, Dr Khekugha Muru and general secretary, Dr Seyievilie Mor, the CNCCI demanded that as per the order all administrators should immediately induct all Presidents of District Chamber of Commerce and Industry as Advisors to Urban Local bodies and solicit the advice of the members on matters pertaining to business activities and price fixation.
The CNCCI further directed all its Confederates (District Chamber of Commerce) to immediately have a thorough price review of all items and pass the benefit to the consumers consequent upon the removal of intra-state and inter-state check-gates.
Meanwhile, the CNCCI urged the State Government that for smooth functioning of business activities public hygiene, health and robust sanitation are essential in towns and cities.
It also appealed to the State Government to ensure that adequate steps and measures are taken to ensure the smooth functioning of ULBs for which the business community will give it’s full support as in the past.
