Dimapur, July 1: The Council of Nagalim Churches (CNC) has expressed gratitude to all the ministries/departments under Government of the People’s Republic of Nagalim (GPRN), all Naga Army brigades, battalions, units and regional churches under it, and all denominational churches in Nagalim, prayer groups, organizations, associations, families and individuals that had participated and devoted their valuable time and energy to intercede and commune with God in their allotted time of prayer without breaking the chain during the month long Chain of Praye from June 1 to 30 called by the Nagaland Joint Christian Forum (NJCF) for protection and deliverance of Naga nation and its people from the deadly second wave of global pandemic COVID-19.
“It is a harsh reality that, we have lost some of our beloved leaders and loved ones during this second wave of cruel pandemic. But it is also a fact that, your effective and fervent prayers have saved and delivered many from the clutches of this deadly virus. May the good Lord bless you abundantly and continue to protect you, your families, and your loved ones in return!” it said.
Stating that the war against the dreadful virus is far from over and there is still a possibility for the surge of third wave, CNC said it is only through spending enough time in prayer that “we can dwell in the secret place of the most high and abide under the shadow of the almighty and stay protected during these perilous and trying times.” It called upon all to vigilantly and earnestly continue in prayer with thanksgiving so that God’s hedge of protection will continue to be upon the Nagas.
