CMO Tuensang holds meet with ward leaders

Dimapur, August 10: Chief Medical Officer’s Office Tuensang on Monday convened an emergency meeting of the executive members of all ward/sectors of Tuensang town to discuss issues of the Covid-19 pandemic. The meeting was held under the chairmanship of CMO, Dr Moatemjen, in the CMO conference hall.
The CMO highlighted about COVID-19 cases in the district, informing that out of 46 positive cases 45 have recovered/discharged and there is only one active case at present.
He mentioned that medical team is trying to identity some good building for COVID-19 care centre, so that the COVID hospital will be shifted to separate building and the district hospital can immediately function OPD as usual for patients.
The CMO informed that returnees coming back to Tuensang from inter-state must keep in quarantine centre for 7 days and followed by 14 days mandatory home quarantine.
The main issues discussed in the meeting were the returnees coming to Tuensang from other districts who will be send straight for home quarantine. So, the colony/ward/sectors were asked to take precautionary measures and take responsibility in their respective colony/ward/sectors and make necessary arrangement. (Page News Service)
