CMO Tuensang discusses Covid-19 related activities

Dimapur, September 6: The Chief Medical Officer’s Office with Medical Superintendent Staffs had a co-ordination meeting at District Hospital Tuensang on September 5. The meeting began with the discussions regarding the Covid-19 activities done in past six months.
In the meeting, the members discussed that there would be a separate funds provided for the BSL-2 Lab and they can utilize it when needed.
Regarding the separate quarter arrangement for the health workers in Sedem Quarantine Centre, the members said that people who are working in the Lab have been informed to submit line listing on time. Truenat machine would be used in the same old place itself but the sample collection can be submitted to the Lab.
CMO staffs requested Medical Superintendent to provide at least six persons from the district hospital for the sample collection along with the CMO staffs.
HA Holichem also highlighted how the manpower have been utilized on Covid-19 duty starting from March till date, where health workers from Medical Officers to Grade IV staffs included from vertical programmes. Data Manager, Temjen said that, so far the team have completed ‘swab collection’ for the fourth round.
The CMO also encouraged that there would be many more activities in the coming days too and asked everyone to coordinate and work together for the betterment of our district.
The meeting was attended by CMO, MS, Doctors and Nurses from district hospital, NHM staffs and IDSP staffs.
