Tuensang, July 14: Chief Medical Officer Tuensang, Dr Temjenmoa today clarified that one of the construction workers engaged in the construction of BSL-2 Lab at Tuensang tested positive for COVID-19 on July 7 last, was not a Lab Technician as being reported in the media.
He said the construction workers from Hyderabad, who had come for the construction of the BSL-2 lab were tested on arrival, during which one of them was found to be positive for COVID-19.
“He was immediately segregated from his other companions who tested negative, and was put in COVID Care Centre,” the CMO told Nagaland Page.
According to a reliable source, the construction worker again tested positive on his confirmatory test. Sources added that although one of the workers is in the Care Centre, they are doing their best in assuring that the construction of the BSL-2 Lab continues.
A source affirmed, “We plan to complete the lab within this month.”
