CMO Peren holds district review meeting

Dimapur, November 6: The Chief Medical Office, Peren District under the chairmanship of the Dr. Supongmenla, Dy. CMO held it’s District Review Meeting on November 5 at Conference Hall, Chief Medical Office, District Headquarter, New Peren. The meeting was attended by the District Programme Officers, Nurses, Pharmacist, District and Block Program Management Unit Staff NHM.
At the outset, Dy. CMO welcome all the members and express her deepest condolence for Late. Dr Rokovilie, Medical Officer Azailong PHC and in his remembrance a minute of silence was observed.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Nukshisangla Jamir, DPO RCH/UIP, express her appreciation and acknowledged all the health workers and officials involved in the Measles -Rubella vaccination campaign (MRVC) for their relentless, effortless and sincerity in carrying out the task reaching out to far and hard to reach areas.
She also highlighted that intensive positive awareness is very important and the District still needs to reach out and make sure that no child is missed in the vaccination campaign. She highlighted that the latest target for Peren is 19536 out of which 16077 has been vaccinated which is 82.3% coverage.
She appealed all the health workers involve to give their best effort so as to achieve the target. She stated that revise session and repeat activities will be conducted for MRVC. She urged to use the VHND platform to catch hold of the missed out children and also encourage for intensive mobilization.
Melenguno, Block Program Manager Peren gave a power point presentation on the performance under Peren block. The presentation indicated various aspects of activities as well the targets and achievements under RCH, UIP and other vertical programs.
Elizabeth DPM highlighted that MRVC data to be entered in the HMIS report.
Attending the meeting, Dr. Ushma, RRT WHO for Peren suggested meticulous planning to be implemented inorder to complete the 95% coverage.
The meeting concluded with a reminder that DAPCU will make a presentation in the next review meeting. (Page News Service)
