Dimapur, April 23: The Office of the Chief Medical Officer, Kohima along with District Health Society, NHM conducted training on COVID-19 at Jakhama block, Tseminyu block & Chiephobozou block on April 23.
A release from CMO Kohima stated the participants were trained on the origin, transmission, prevention, control measures, medical care, supportive environment, safe practices like frequent hand-washing, social distancing, use of mask, avoiding of public places, etc. The participants were also shown demonstration of Personal Protection Equipments (PPEs) with important management of used mask and gloves disposal.
In Jakhama block there were 40 participants. The same chain of training was also carried out at Tseminyu block where DPO (RCH/UIP) Dr. Rupert Peseyie was the resource person and there werev35 participants while Chiephobozou block training under Mobile Medical Unit, Kohima (MO) saw 30 participants.
