
Dimapur, March 26: Office of the Chief Medical Officer, Kohima along with District Health Society, Department of Health & Family Welfare, NHM conducted a Reproductive Child Health (RCH) camp at Zhadima village on March 24.
A press release informed that Dy. CMO, Dr. Imchatoshi encouraged the villagers to avail all the services and also parttake in various group discussions for a healthy lifestyle.
He also hoped that the villagers will derive maximum benefit from the health camp. Imchatoshi reminded the villagers about the responsibilities of each and everyone in bringing about health awareness.
He also mentioned about the target group where children and pregnant mothers are given priority.
Dr. Khrievilhou Nakhro, DIO (RCH/UIP), reminded that the VHC should take initiative for Village Health & Nutrition Day (VHND) and to channelise for visit of Medical Officer to the village round-the-clock.
He also informed the gathering that IMR & MMR has drastically reduced due to awareness.
He spoke on the need for community participation for bringing about sustainable health care services through their participation and active contribution.
Gifts and nutritional packages were distributed to fully immunized children and pregnant mothers. Altogether, 210 villagers turned up to avail the health services at the RCH camp.
