CM to launch Nagaland SDG Vision 2030

Nagaland News

Dimapur, August 12: Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio will launch the ‘Nagaland SDG Vision 2030’ on August 17 at Kohima. On the same day, Minister for Planning & Coordination, Land Revenue and Parliamentary Affairs, Neiba Kronu will launch the ‘District SDG Localisation and Integration Manual’.
The Government of Nagaland has been working towards localising and integrating the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) or the Global Goals since 2018. The launch of these two documents will play a crucial role to further the process of SDG localisation across the State, according to a DIPR bulletin.
The launch of these documents will be followed by the ‘State-level Workshop on SDG India Index 2020-21 and Multidimensional Poverty Index’ (MPI) with resource persons from NITI Aayog. The key objectives of this workshop will include discussion on Nagaland’s SDG performance as per the SDG India Index 2020-21 as well as areas of improvement. There will also be discussions on the programmes, schemes and policies addressing the concept of multi-dimensional poverty in the State. (Page News Service)
