CM initiates plantation drive

Kohima, June 6: Nagaland Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio today led plantation drive within his official residential complex in commemoration of the four year of BJP-led NDA Government at the Centre.
The CM along with Minister for Planning and Coordination Neiba Kronu, North Eastern Council (NEC) Secretary Ram Muivah and NDPP working president Alemtemshi Jamir planted cherry tree saplings.
“Planted trees in commemoration of NDA government completing 48 months at the Centre,” Rio tweeted while also reiterating that the Government would be planting 48,000 tree samplings across the State within a week’s period and the commitment to make the state clean and green.
Officials from the Department of Environment, Forest and Climate Change were also present on the occasion.
