CM condoles


Dimapur, June 17: Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio has expressed grief at the demise of Kevimedo Rutsa, former vice president, Angami Public Organization (APO) and former chairman, Kohima Village Council at Kohima at the grand old age of 90.
Late Uncle Kevimedo Rutsa was a Rüna Peyu in the NNC during the 1950s and was imprisoned for the Naga cause. He also served as Area Council Member of the Northern Angami and later as the Vice President of the APO. He was the Chairman of Kohima Village Council for over a decade and a life member of the Bharat Scouts and Guides, Nagaland.
“Besides his noteworthy social activities, he was a good friend of my late father and thereby a fatherly-figure to me and my family and I have always held him in high esteem. He was a blessing to all of us and we will miss him greatly,” the CM said.
Rio extended heartfelt condolences to all members of the bereaved family and prayed for the departed soul to rest in eternal peace. (Page News Service)
