Dimapur, May 9: Former Director of Health & Family Welfare, Dr Taka passed away on May 8. He was 91.
Late Dr Taka served the Government of Nagaland as a dedicated doctor and retired as the Director of Health & Family Welfare Department. He was among the pioneers who put efforts in establishing the medical department in the State of Nagaland, said Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio in a condolence message.
“Looking at his life’s journey, it is evident that he was not only an efficient doctor but also someone who worked selflessly for the welfare of the people, especially for those in need, for which he will be dearly remembered by all. In his demise, we have a lost a father figure and a guardian and his absence will be difficult to be replaced,” he said.
The CM conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members, and prayed for the departed soul to rest in eternal peace. (Page News Service)
