Dimapur, August 24: Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio has expressed shock and grief at the demise of Molhou Zhasa, IAS (retired), former Secretary to the Government of Nagaland on August 23 at Zion Hospital Dimapur.
Late M. Zhasa was a hardworking, yet simple and dedicated officer who entered Government service in 1966 as an Assistant Teacher at GHS Kohima and eventually retired in 2004 as Secretary, Food and Civil Supplies, Legal Metrology and Consumer Protection.
“Even after his retirement from Government service, he dedicated all his time and resources to serve the living God by involving himself fully in Church activities for the upliftment of the believers and the downtrodden sections of society,” said the CM in a condolence message.
“In his demise, we have lost a good soul whose absence will be deeply felt but nevertheless, it is comforting to believe that he will be with our Saviour throughout eternity,” he said.
The CM expressed deepest condolences to the bereaved family members and prayed for the departed soul to rest in eternal peace. (Page News Service)
