Dimapur, February 1: Advisor, Centre for International Migration and Development (CIM), Richa Arora visited Nagaland and met Mmhonlumo Kikon, Advisor, Science and Technology, IT. NRE and senior officials of the Department of Forest, Environment and Climate Change also attended the meeting.
In a press release, Dr Atoho Jakhalu, Research Director, Climate Studies and Knowledge Solutions Centre (Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of Nagaland) said a meeting was also organized with the YouthNet, UNICEF, and CHI.
On her 3-day visit, various opportunities were discussed to support the state, both governmental and non-governmental through the Indian ‘Diaspora Experts’ in Germany. The Centre for International Migration and Development (CIM) is a joint operation between GIZ (German Development Cooperation) and the German Federal Employment Agency (BA). Dr. Jakhalu is currently supported by the German Government’s CIM as a ‘Returning Expert’ to push climate and sustainable development agenda in India. (Page News Service)
