CIHSR to reopen its services from Aug 17

Dimapur, August 14: The Christian Institute of Health Sciences & Research (CIHSR) has announced reopening of all its services from August 17.
In a public notice CIHSR Director, Dr Sedevi Angami stated that all areas that have been affected by the COVID-19 virus have been sanitized and are now ready to be used again.
He informed that all staff who were infected by COVID-19 and have recovered by the stringent recommended criteria from CDC/ICMR and Department of Health, Government of Nagaland would be allowed to work again at patient areas. Only non-infected staff or recovered staff would manage patients interface sections of the hospital, he added.
He also stated that all precautionary measures are in place to prevent further transmission within the hospital and protocols for possible emerging infections among staff or patients have been established.
The isolation ward of 10 beds for possible very serious COVID 19 patients is functional and would be used as an interim stay for stabilizing before transferring to the COVID-19 hospital, he added.
Dr Sedevi also informed that measures have been taken to ensure that there is continuity of service for dialysis patients who may incidentally become positive for COVID-19 while under treatment, and measures to educate patients and their relatives about the COVID-19 situation and its appropriate response will continue.
