CIHSR clarifies on temporary closure of emergency service

Dimapur, July 27: The Christian Institute of Health Sciences & Research (CIHSR) has clarified on the temporary closure and relocation of emergency service in the institute.
In a public information, the CIHSR management said a patient with viral pneumonia with diabetes and hypertension was admitted in isolation ward on July 24 at 6:30 pm after his preliminary test report for COVID was negative. A repeat TruNat test was done on July 25, which reported positive and for confirmation, his sample was sent for RT-PCR test to BSL-3 lab at Kohima the same day, the result of which is still awaited.
The CIHSR informed that the temporary closure and relocation of emergency was done to carry out precautionary sanitization on July 26 and it will reopen on July 28. The make shift emergency service has been relocated to the old OPD area. It informed that contact listing has been completed and quarantined.
The other non-affect services like OPD, in-patient services, Hemodialysis, Chemo-Radiation, etc will continue till further notice, it informed. (Page News Service)
