Children’s Day celebrated in State


Dimapur, November 14: Nagaland State Legal Services Authorities celebrated Children’s Day by conducting placard rallies with the Legal Literacy Club members in line with NALSA Child Friendly Legal Services to children and their protection Scheme, 2018.
The respective District Legal Services Authority of each district conducted the activities.
In Kiphire Children’s Day was observed in Govt. Middle School Station B, whereas in Wokha, Dimapur, Zunheboto, Kohima, Phek, Peren and Tuensang the District Legal Services Authorities conducted rally cum placard competition. In Mon the District authorities observed Children’s Day with Faith Fellowship Orphanage Home.
In Mokokchung Children’s Day was observed by conducting a placard competition. The Longleng District authorities celebrated Children’s Day with Phom Lemphong Hostel Mission Centre.
SMHSS: St. Mary’s Hr. Sec. School celebrated Children’s Day by organising fancy dress competition for pre-nursery to Class 6; drawing competition for Class 7, voluntary work and quiz competition for Class 8, visit to the science centre for Class 9, PPT competition on current affairs for Class 10, treasure hunt competition for Class 11 and class demonstration competition for Class 12.
A release from SMHSS said children participated in the event with great zeal and enthusiasm. “We saw creativity exploding in every place of art, it was it was a wonderful opportunity for students to think out of the box and a platform provided to display their vivid ideas & enjoyed the Children’s Day,” it said.
Certificates to the winners and sweets and balloons were also given. Drawing competition was judged by Lions Club of Dimapur Blue Vanda P/S/T and certificates given by them.
