Dimapur, February 18: Chakhesang region national workers of NSCN (IM) led by Col. (Retd.) Ape Venuh, member of collective leadership meet Chakhesang Public Organization (CPO) on January 27 at Red Cross building, Kohima.
A release issued by the MIP, GPRN for CAO Chakhesang Region said Col. (Retd) Ape briefed the meeting to make the Chakhesang people understand the underlying political arrangement with the Government of India. The Chakhesang Public Organization responded in a positive manner taking the stand that any Indo-Naga political solution should reflect the spirit of 1951 Plebiscite and emphasized on the urgency for bringing solution that is acceptable to the Nagas’ political aspiration.
The release said Col. (Retd) Ape went deeper into the overall position of the ongoing Indo-Naga political talks and the firm stand taken by NSCN negotiating team with reference to the critical importance of Pan Naga Hoho in order to keep alive the Naga nationhood. “The members attending the meeting showed their appreciation for exhibiting such political determination that does not betray Naga political aspiration,” the release said.
