DIMAPUR, DECEMBER 4: The Ceasefire Supervisory Board (CFSB) team of NSCN (Reformation) held a meeting with CFSB Chairman, Amarjeet Singh Bedi on December 3 at Kohima, which was chaired by SO (Staff Officer), T Mere.
According to a press release issued by MIP, NSCN/GPRN (R), the meeting reviewed and discussed “pretentious issues pertaining to Ceasefire Ground Rules”.
Both parties viewed that whatever political negotiation/process is going on between the GoI and NPGs, continuing to uphold whatever necessities or procedures are at hand ought to be maintained too, with ‘peace and tranquility’ as top most priority, the release stated.
Both sides also agreed in principle to continue to uphold the sanctity of the laid down CFGR and to keep check on any lapses that may arise from both ends.
Other than any exigency or unprecedented issues that may crop up or necessitated (as far as CFGR is concerned), this could most likely be the last meet/discussion between both parties prior to Christmas and New Year.
Keeping all these in view and with a positive mindset, both Parties wished a ‘Peaceful & Merry Christmas and a Joyous & Prosperous New Year’ to one and all.
Besides Chairman and SO (CFSB/CFMG), the GoI team was also represented by State’s IGP, Commissioner as well as Indian Army/Security top brass of Assam Rifles and CRPF, whereas the NSCN (R) team was led by Dr. Amento Chishi (Supervisor) along with CFSB Members. (Page News Service)
