Dimapur, September 11:The Centre has released Rs 6195.08 crores to 14 states as the 6th equated monthly installment of the Post Devolution Revenue Deficit Grant as recommended by the 15th Finance Commission. Nagaland has received Rs 32641.66 lakhs.
“The government on September 10, 2020 released Rs 6,195.08 crore to 14 states as the sixth equated monthly instalment of the Post Devolution Revenue Deficit Grant as recommended by the 15th Finance Commission. This would provide them additional resources during the Corona crisis,” Union Finance Minister, Nirmala Sitharaman tweeted.
According to a Finance Ministry’s letter to the Accounts Officer, Nagaland has received Rs 3264.66 lakhs as grants-in-aid to cover deficit on post devolution revenue account in 2020-21 as recommended by the 15th Finance Commission on monthly proportionate basis in the month of September 2020.
The state of Andhra Pradesh has received Rs 49141.66 lakhs, Assam Rs 63158.33 lakhs, Himachal Pradesh Rs 95258.33 lakhs, Kerala Rs 127691.66 lakhs, Manipur Rs 23533.33 lakhs, Meghalaya Rs 4091.66 lakhs, Mizoram Rs 11850 lakhs, Nagaland Rs 32641.66 lakhs, Punjab Rs 63825 lakhs, Tamil Nadu Rs 33541. 66 lakhs, Tripura Rs 26966.66 lakhs, Uttarakhand Rs 42300 lakhs and West Bengal Rs 41775 lakhs.
