CATC for NCC cadets underway

Dimapur, February 29: A 10-day Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC) for NCC cadets-boys and girls-from various districts commenced at the CRPF Camp, Mokokchung from February 27 to March 7.
It is organised by the 25th Nagaland Independent Coy NCC, Mokokchung.
The cadets will be imparted training on various subjects such as drill, weapon training, map reading, first aid, adventure, self defence, military history, physical fitness, field craft and battle craft. Cadets from seven districts are taking part in this camping.
During the ongoing CATC of 25 NCC unit in which 300 cadets boys & girls from seven districts are participating, as part of overall grooming.
Sentiyanger who was the Resource Person from the Alcoholic Anonymous Society gave a lecture on Anti Drugs Abuse.
He encouraged the cadets to abstain from drugs and other intoxicating substances. Warning the cadets, “Once we start using, we become addicted and spoil our life slowly” he further exhorted that the uses of such things are the root cause of evil in the society.
