Career guidance seminar held at Chizami

Dimapur, May 15: A 1-day career guidance seminar for class 8 and above was held at Goyiepra Memorial Govt. High School, Chizami organized by Chizami Students’ Union (CSU) in collaboration with Chizami Officers Union (COU). More than 250 students from Sacred Heart Hr. Secondary School, GM Govt. High School, Eastern Mission High School, college students and guests attended the programme.
CSU president KhrolhiweuTsühahin stated that empowering students and making informed decisions about education, career and developing strategies to achieve academic and career goals is significant in this digital age.
Rukewelo T.Mero, Sr. Superintendent of Police & President, COU encouraged the students to study and excel, be happy doers and not hoppers.
Shiluti Tsühah shared his journey of clearing the prestigious Nagaland Public Selection Commission examination 2022 and encouraged the students to believe in themselves, work hard, learn from mistakes and grow stronger, persevere and be disciplined to achieve the goal.
The resource persons included Kewetshete Wezah (Asst. Director, School Education), Wekhrope Akami (Inspector of Industries), Er Wekulhi Lohe (IT M&E, Urban Development), WekoweuTsühah (State co-ordinator, NEN Nagaland), Er Kewepu Tsühah (JE, PWD) and Wetshete Thopi (Asst. Prof. Patkai College, Dimapur).
Earlier on May 6, 1-day students retreat programme was organized in Kohima by Chizami Welfare Organization Kohima (CWOK) and Chizami Students’ Union.
