CAN Youth releases Project SPATIAL Magazine

DIMAPUR, MAR 15: A magazine focusing on CAN Youth’s project ‘Students Parents and Teachers Involvement for Authentic Learning (SPATIAL)’ was today released here at District Education Officer (DEO) office, Dimapur.
Speaking on the occasion Jenpu Rongmei, Chief Functionary of CAN Youth, stated that the project was launched to make students competent through self understanding and life skill based education as well as to strengthen the relationship between teachers, students and parents.
He said that the education system in the present context has changed and schools are more concerned about good grades and thus care not much if the students are really learning and opined that life skill should become a process in the educational system and not simply a subject which would eventually help students to discover the meaning of life.
R. Amongla Jamir, DEO, acknowledging CAN Youth’s initiatives, said that the initiatives have encouraged her to perform her duty in a more prominent way and added that the office is trying its best to improve the productivity of the govt. schools. She encouraged CAN Youth to continue their endeavors.
The programme was chaired by Secretary, CAN Youth, Kivitoli Chishi and invocation offered by Governing body, CAN Youth, Zhove. (Page News Service)
