Dimapur, August 30: Can Youth held its first webinar for school teachers under its SPATIAL Project on August 28, with three panelists Dr Humi Thaosen, Asst. Professor, Department of Anthropology, Gauhati University, Jonas G. Pfaeffinger, Advisor & Project Manager, Childaid network Germany and Rev Fr. Roy George SDB, Executive Director, AIDA Dimapur. The webinar was moderated by Lairing Dau Jigdung, coordinator SPATIAL Project.
Jenpu Rongmei, Chief Functionary, Can Youth in his opening remark extended gratitude to all the teachers for giving their best service to students through both offline and online despite the pandemic challenges.
Dr Humi Thaosen spoke on ‘Process of continuous learning to overcome depression’.
Father Roy George spoke on ‘Engaging students in home-based learning.” He shared power points presentation on how one can engage in self directed video.
Jonas G. Pfaeffinger spoke on ‘The challenges and way forward on quality education and child rights’ during the COVID-19 pandemic.
In his closing remark, Tenyebinlo Himb , secretary, education & statistics, Dimapur Naga Students’ Union expressed gratitude to the panelist and the teachers for coming together through webinar to discuss challenges and way forward on quality education and child rights in this pandemic.
