CAN Youth conducts capacity building training


Dimapur, July 27: CAN Youth conducted a capacity building training on Discovering Self and Career Opportunity with the Youths of Kevijau colony and Aokong colony, Dimapur at their respective community hall on July 21 and 23 respectively.
The training started with a brainstorming activity. Kivitoli Chishi, Program Facilitator, CAN Youth highlighted about the organization and spoke on skills and talents of youths that go undiscovered and wasted while, mostly, in search of Government jobs. She encouraged them to stop seeking for Government jobs only and go beyond the opportunities that are available in order to success and succeed in life. She further urged them to be self-dependent and promote their hobbies and talents which might be a stepping stone to success.
While facilitating the youths about the program and the vision of training, she encourage them to allow themselves to be happy and appreciate their skills. She further informed the youths about the job avenues, entrepreneurs opportunity and upcoming skill training program.
During the session, the youths shared their difficulties and put their opinion that the Governments should start a program where the aspiring young people can pitch their ideas and bringing up more private sector market.
CAN Youth team were assisted by the MSW interns from Bosco Institute, Jorhat, NEF College of Management & Technology, Guwahati and AIDA IGNOU Dimapur.
