DIMAPUR, MARCH 10: Food Safety Dimapur Zone under the establishment of Chief Medical Officer, Dimapur conducted three camps on Food Safety & Standard Authority of India (FSSAI) Licensing/Registration of Food Business Operator (FBO) under Food Safety. The first camp was conducted on March 8 at KUDD Complex, Dimapur, the second on March 9 at CTC Hall, Chumukedima in co-ordination with district administration, Chumukedima Town Council and Chumukedima Chamber of Commerce & Trade Association.
The third camp was conducted on March 10 at ADC conference Hall, Medziphema along with the district administration & Medziphema Town Council. IEC materials were also distributed to the FBOs.
The FBOs were briefed on the following points: Brief outline on Food Safety & Standards Act 2006, Rules & Regulations 2011; Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Hygienic Practice (GHP); how to apply online for FSSAI licence/registration for FBO; and labelling defects, imported food items without the name of the importer on the package, etc.
