Chetheba Town, April 28: A six day long Archery Coaching Camp organised by Chokri Area Games & Sports Association (CAGSA) at Chetheba Town concluded on Saturday, April 28 with an affirmative by all the unit presidents of CAGSA to promote archery in the coming days in the area.
The camp that began on Monday has attracted an overwhelming number of amateur for the basic training programme where players representing 7 villages and 2 towns from Chokri Area under Phek district had participated in the week-long coaching camp sponsored by the CAGSA with the support of Youth Resources Department, Government of Nagaland.
The concluded coaching camp was trained by State Coach Hunezo and assisted by Vekhruzo. State Coach has advice and encouraged the young archers to work hard and maintain discipline in life to be a successful sports person.
“Today, we are living in a professional world and there is no meaning conducting sports meet for fun anymore in order to catch others which is the ultimate reason for organizing the coaching camp” says CAGSA president Vetazo Tetseo,
“Sports are a profession too and one should be taken seriously considering ones capability and its scope”, stated CAGSA Secretary Zuveta Lupo.
While the association also have appreciated the response and support given by the different units under Chokri in conducting the coaching camp successful. The association has informed that the forthcoming CAGSA meet that will be held at K. Basa Village in the first week of January, 2019 in which archery will be included as one of the main event in the competition. (Page News Service)
