Dimapur, November 20: For the first time in the history of Nagaland and first time in the history of The Institute of Chartered Accountant of India (ICAI), Chartered Accountants (CA) Examinations are being conducted in Nagaland at Dimapur.
The examinations will commence on November 21 and end on December 14. Dimapur Government College has been chosen as the Examination Centre in Dimapur.
Ajit Kumar Jain, CA from Dimapur has been appointed as the coordinator cum observer for the examinations. According to him, this is an assignment with huge responsibility and respect and he is extremely honoured to have got this opportunity to serve his institute, i.e., The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).
Ajit Jain has informed that the students while filling up the examination forms felt extremely relieved on knowing the fact that there will be an examination centre in Dimapur too.
According to Jain, the examinations are being conducted strictly in compliance with the guidelines bearing No. 40-3/2020-DM-I(A) dated 30th September, 2020 issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, for social distancing and containment of Covid-19 in the Country.
The examination centre will implement adequate social distancing measures in current scenario of Covid-19 to ensure health and safety of the students. Adequate measures are being taken for the safety of all without compromising the high standards, sanctity and fairness in the conduct of the examination.
Meanwhile, the ICAI has expressed gratitude to Ajit Kumar Jain for his untiring efforts to bring this examination centre at Dimapur.
It may be mentioned here that The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India is a statutory body established by an Act of Parliament viz., The Chartered Accountants Act, 1949 (No. 38 of 1949) for regulating the profession of Chartered Accountants in India. (Page News Service)
