
Dimapur, February 8: Bharat Vikas Parishad organized “Women & Girls Empowerment Programme” to commemorate National Girls child on February 7 at Dayanand Vidyaniketan Conference Hall at Dimapur.
On the occasion, Neena Dutta, Principal, St Mary’s Higher Secondary School and Anushka Bhattacharjee, Topper from Nagaland Board of School Education Class 12 (Science Stream) were conferred with Certificate of Appreciation by Core Committee of Bharat Vikas Parishad, Central through its Dimapur Branch for their outstanding contribution in Nagaland as Women educationist and empowered women and girl.
Sumita Chakraborty, Principal Divine Grace School from Shillong graced the programme as Guest speaker. Other guest speakers were Dr Dalia Bhattacharjee , Assistant Professor, SD Jain College and Shantosh Kumar Shastri, Coordinator ABDSS, North East who inspired girls and women with their informative speeches.
Speakers from the Organising Committee were Pramod singh, President BVP Dimapur, Dr Ramashankar Siromoni Secretary, Madhusmita Dutta, Nivedita and Neetu Kachari. Puja Das Paul, women leader of BVP chaired the empowerment programme. North East Regional Secretary and convenor of the Programme extended gratitude to all the women leaders, guests and girl participants in this programme for encouraging the gathering with their performance and speeches in this special programme for empowerment of Girls and Women in Regional Secretary BVP (NE) declared that ‘Bharat-Ko-Jano’ State level Quiz Competetion will be held in April in Dimapur and requested to submit names of participants at BVP, Dimapur branch office.
