BVP Nagaland felicitates women on Int’l Women’s Day

Dimapur, March 9: Bharat Vikas Parishad (BVP) celebrated International women’s Day in gaiety at SD Jain Girls’ College on March 8 in presence of its Regional Secretary (North East), Bishnu Bhattacharjee.
Dr Data Ram Sharma first President of BVP, Dimapur Branch, graced the programme as special guest along with Krishna Chandra Rout, Principal of the College as guest of honour. Dr D R Sharma highlighted his experience with Bharat Vikas Parishad with aims and objective of BVP in organization level.
While appreciating all the Professors and faculties, Dr Sharma also mentioned that Dr Dalia Bhattacharjee is the first women from Bengali community born in Nagaland who got doctorate in English and serving SD Jain College as Assistant Professor since last 23 years. He said all selected women awardees in the program by BVP are empowered with knowledge and qualities in various department. Six selected Senior Assistant Professor of SD Jain Girls College was felicitated as “BVP Empowered Women of the year 2022” for their dedicated service to empower girl students of Nagaland since last many years as Assistant Professor. The awardees were Lily Ngullie, Abeni Kikon, Dr Dalia Bhattacharjee, Kayini Kayina, Rohida Khatun and Reemi Choudhury Mazumder. Program was chaired by BVP Women Coordinator Puja Das Paul and Vote of thanks was pronounced by Neeta Agarwal, Vice President BVP. Other Speakers were Dr Dalia Bhattacharjee, Lily Ngullie and Krishna Chandra Rout, Principal SD Jain Girls College. Regional Secretary NE Sampark declared that two more branches will be opened in Kohima and Bokajan within April 2022 to extend service to needy people in village areas.
