
DIMAPUR, April 30: Bharat Vikas Parishad (BVP), a prominent social organization, held its official installation and oath-taking ceremony on Sunday at the Durga Mandir Auditorium in Dimapur. The event was graced by distinguished personalities, including President of the Jain Samaj Om Prakash Sethi, social worker Arun Kumar Nandi, and founder director of Peace Channel Dr. Fr. CP Anto as guests of honour while social worker Chhawi Kumar Sethi was the chief guest for the programme. Jagadindu Deb, Regional Secretary of BVP, was also in attendance.
Speaking on the occasion, Om Prakash Sethi expressed his commitment to supporting BVP’s endeavors and praised the organization as more than just a social group but also a means of providing “sewa” or service to the community. Arun Kumar Nandi pledged to utilize his capabilities to aid BVP in its mission to improve society and uplift the less fortunate.
Dr. Fr. CP Anto lauded BVP for being the voice of the voiceless and assured the organization of his cooperation in its activities. He emphasized the importance of accepting everyone as children of the same God who doesn’t discriminate and encouraged attendees to be agents of change within society.
Chief Guest Chhawi Kumar Sethi commended the activities carried out by BVP and expressed pride in being associated with the organization. He urged others to join BVP and contribute to the betterment of the country.
The BVP team, consisting of 59 members as of now, will be led by Er. Rabinderjit Singh Panesar as the new President in its various social initiatives and activities.
