Dimapur, February 16: All Union & Association of BSNL NE-II Telecom Circle has proposed to go on strike from February 18 to demand for the fulfillment of assurances given by the Minister of State for Communication, Government of India.
According to Sukhai Sema, Chairman, AUAB, the demands are allotment of 4G Spectrum to BSNL; implementation of 3rd Pay Revision with 15% fitment; pension revision for the BSNL pensioners with effect from January 1, 2017; payment of pension contribution by BSNL as Government Rules; settlement of left out issues of 2nd Pay Revision Committee; approval of BSNL’s land management policy; to ensure financial viability of BSNL, as per decision taken by Group of Minister (GoI) at the time of formation of BSNL; and scrapping of BSNL’s outsourcing for the operation and maintenance of its towers.
The AUAB NE-II Telecom Circle Dimapur has expressed its regret to its customers for the inconveniences that may arise out of the strike and appealed to the public to support BSNL as these demands not only involve the interest of BSNL employees but also the interest of the public. (Page News Service)
