Border coordination meet held at Bokajan

DIMAPUR, JULY 30: A border coordination meeting between Dimapur, Golaghat and Karbi Anglong districts was held today at CCI Guest House, Bokajan, which was attended by Dimapur Deputy Commissioner, Rajesh Soundararajan, Commissioner of Police, Dimapur, DC & SP of Golaghat, DC & SP of Karbi Anglong, DIG Range Assam and Commandant CRPF (neutral force).
The house deliberated on the inter-state border situation and agreed that due to regular border coordination meetings between the district officials no major border incidents have taken place in the recent past.
Both the Deputy Commissioners and Superintendents of Police of Karbi Anglong and Golaghat thanked the DC and CP of Dimapur for their support in conducting the recent Assam Assembly elections peacefully.
DIG (Range), Assam, also highlighted the house that due to regular border coordination meetings among the district officials, the overall situation at border is normal and no major incidents have taken place so far.
The officials present agreed to have a regular border coordination meeting between the districts and also resolved that any border issues shall be settled through dialogues, and keeping all communication channels open.
