Book titled ‘Transforming North East India: Year 2014-2021’ released

Dimapur, February 6: The book “Transforming North East India: Year 2014-2021”, written by Ajeet Kumar Jha was launched on February 5 at India International Centre, New Delhi. The central government displayed courage, conviction, capacity and capability to uplift Northeastern Region and has done historical works for the development in North East India in last seven years (2014-2021), whose brief assessment has been compiled and extensively presented in this book.
Author Ajeet Kumar Jha is an experienced government officer and his earlier book in Hindi “Shashakt Purvottar: Dakshin Purv Asia Ka Dwar” was highly appreciated and acknowledged.
Esteemed dignitaries graced the book launch event and conveyed their deep appreciation for the book. B P Singh, former Governor-Sikkim and former Union Home Secretary was the chief guest for the event. K J Alphons, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) & former Union Minister was the Guest of Honour.
Bhubaneshwar Kalita, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), S N Srivastava, President, Indian Federation of United Nation Association & former Chief Lokayukt, Chattisgarh, Alok Mehta (Padma Shree), Senior Journalist and Vishwapati Trivedi (IAS Retd.) Former Secretary, Minstry of Shipping and Ministry of Mines were the other guests to mark their gracious presence.
The book launch was followed by a discussion amongst the panel on the ways and means to further develop the Northeast region, and connect the regions progress with the accelerating pace of India’s development.
