BMSCH celebrates Children’s Day in Kohima

Kohima, November 15: The IDEAL (IW) Charitable Society of Bright Morning Star Children Home (BMSCH), Kohima has initiated series of events as part of the celebration of Children’s Day.
The first event took place on October 30 which was the first audition round for solo gospel singing contest wherein 25 children participated.
The judges for singing competition were Aleno, superintendent BMSCH, Vetso Tunyi and Ruokuo Angami.
The chief judges for includes Praveen Paul (Advisor IDEAL (IW) Charitable society) and Abi Angami founder, president IDEAL (IW) Charitable Society.
The painting competition was also held on November 8. The judges includes; Tanja Fitisemanu from Slovenia (Senior Category) and Thepfulhoutuo Angami for junior category.
The results for both the competition was declared on November 14.
The main programme on November 14 was graced by Dr. Neikiesalie (Nicky) Kire, advisor, Urban Development & Municipal Affairs, Nagaland.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Kire encouraged the children to focus three Ds in life-Determination, Devotion and Dedication.
Abi Angami said that series of competition was organised to mark Children’s Day in order to let the children feel special as everyone has been affected by COVID-19 pandemic.
Aleno said “It is a special occasion for children and we wanted to give our love and let them know we are there for them and that they are not alone.”
She further said this kind of events will be organised in future as well so as to encourage them in the areas they are gifted with.
The main function on November 14, was marked by dance, performance by the winners, fashion show, folk dance, choir etc. (Page News Service)
