NEW DELHI, APRIL 3: The Congress on Wednesday played out a video clip, allegedly from Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu’s motorcade that carried bundles of currency notes to be distributed to people ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s public rally at Pasighat.
Addressing a press conference almost at the same time as Modi’s rally, Congress communication chief Randeep Surjewala asked why a case should not be filed against Modi and Khandu, among others, for violating the Representation of People’s Act.
Surjewala alleged that officials, including Deputy Commissioner, Election Commission observer and police officials were seen in the video.
“If the video is true then where is the Election Commission now? Are they sleeping? Where is the Enforcement Directorate?” asked Surjewala.
