BJP National VP hold consultative meet at Mokokchung

Mokokchung, November 24: National BJP vice-president, Dr M Chuba Imsong today asked BJP karyakartas in Mokokchung District to have ‘accommodative spirit’ so that the party’s policies and programmes can reach to every nook and corner of the State. He said that a political party should not hold grudges but always look for ways and means to convince the people through the BJP’s policies and programme so as to ensure that the people move forward.

He was on a one-day visit to Mokokchung to have a wide ranging consultative meeting with BJP Mokokchung district officials, mandals (assembly constituency), and morchas (frontal organizations) which was held at the BJP Office and attended by the rank and file of the party.
Dr M Chuba Ao, while speaking at the meeting, narrated how he joined the BJP way back in the early nineties and how he struggled when there were hardly any BJP karyakarta in the State. While recollecting those days, Dr Chuba said that he never wavered from his deep conviction that the BJP, as a national party, will one day come to power and implement its people centric programmes and policies which will benefit the people of the northeast.
He acknowledged that the BJP is yet to make a stronghold in Nagaland. Yet, he exuded hope that the coming years would bring enough opportunity for the party to come to power and carry on the dream of a developed India that the party envisages. Therefore, while urging the karyakartas not to be discouraged, Dr Chuba challenged them to find opportunity in the midst of difficulty so that the party’s developmental programmes can be achieved to its full potentials.
Earlier in the programme, BJP Mokokchung district president Imolemba Jamir narrated about the life and political career of Dr ChubaAo. Short speeches were also delivered by presidents of 24 Angetyongpangmandal, 28 Koridangmandal, YuvaMorcha, Minority Morcha and from Mahila morcha.
