NEW DELHI, JUNE 24: BJP national vice president and senior Naga politician M Chuba Ao made a courtesy call on incumbent President Ram Nath Kovind at the Rashtrapati Bhavan earlier this week.
It was described as a courtesy call and a personal meeting between two individuals,
When contacted Chuba Ao said, “Well, one reason for meeting him was I always admired Rashrapati Kovind ji. His cool approach and finally that stint as the constitutional head of the world’s largest democracy had a good impact in country’s polity”.
Chuba Ao further maintained that, “Credit goes to the Narendra Modi Government and BJP leadership for selecting Mr Kovind in 2017 as the NDA presidential candidate. Five years back, the country faced multiple challenges and even unrest in some parts of India due to motivated campaign. His excellency Mr Kovind’s stint had a sober effect. We must appreciate.”
To a question, the BJP national vice president said that, “Even for 2022 presidential polls, the BJP and NDA leadership under Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken the right decision to select Draupadi Murmu.”
“As a Naga tribal leader, I feel immensely proud that Ms Murmu ji would be making it to the Rashtrapati Bhavan as our country’s first tribal President. As a BJP karyakarta, I am doubly happy because such a revolutionary thing for a woman among tribals is happening when our
beloved leader Narendra Modi ji is the Prime Minister of India.”
