BJP Kohima to celebrate 8 years of Modi govt. with social service

Kohima, June 4: The Kohima District BJP Unit will be conducting various social services and tree plantation drives in commemoration of 8-years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led BJP government at the Centre.
Informing this, Kohima BJP president Khrielie Üsou said that the BJP mandals of the seven Assembly Constituencies under Kohima district, including Tseminyu would be engaged in cleaning of healthcare centers and tree plantation drive beside creating awareness on the various centrally sponsored schemes launched for the welfare of the general public in the last 8 years of BJP government.
Maintaining that Prime Minister Modi has brought out amd implemented around 740 different welfare schemes providing service and good governance to uplift the poor in the nation, including Nagaland.
Highlighting some of schemes launched since 2014, he said the programmed like Jan Dhan Yojana, Make in India, Swachh Bharat Mission, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP), Mudra Yojana, Jyoti Bima Yojana, Suraksha Bima Yojana, Amrut Plan, Start-up India, Stand-up India, Ujwala Yojana, PM Kisan, Ayushman Bharat, Digital India Mission and Smart City have not only benefited other parts of the country but also the people of Kohima in particular.
He said that following the launch of Jan Dhan Yojana even the villagers in Kohima have opened bank accounts, while Digital India has helped in online transactions without going to banks at anytime.
On BBBP scheme, he said if any girl child is left out, they can contact the Mahila Unit of BJP to avail the benefits.
Mudra Yojana has been very beneficial for the young entrepreneurs in the State as they can avail loan to start their business, he said.
PM Kisan is the most important scheme as a total of 2,00,5000 farmers in Nagaland have befitted from it, of which 9,000 beneficiaries are from Kohima. They receive Rs 6000 annually, he said.
With the inclusion of Kohima under the Smart City Scheme all developmental works in the state capital town are being taken up rigorously, he said.
All the schemes of the Modi-led BJP government are very beneficial for the people and therefore Nagas should also come forward and avail the facilities, Üsou said.
The Kohima District BJP president informed that the activities under Seva, Sushasan and Gareeb Kalyan yojana will conclude with the State Tribal Mela and closing ceremony on June 15 in Kohima, which will have participation from other districts too.
