Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu, currently on a tour to Mumbai, held a meeting with Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty when the latter called on him on Wednesday in the presence of Arunachal Pradesh Assembly Speaker Pasang Dorjee Sona.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister had a discussion with the actor on how to promote Arunachal Pradesh as an ideal destination for filmmakers.
The Chief Minister welcomed the actor’s offer to tap local talent of Arunachal Pradesh and provide them with job opportunities in the entertainment industry through his online platform, ‘F The Couch’ (FTC).
The FTC is a digital platform to discover new talent and provide aspiring artists a platform to make a place for themselves in Bollywood and the entertainment industry.
Khandu also welcomed Shetty’s opinion on promoting the pristine and unmatched beauty of Arunachal Pradesh through a web series.
The Bollywood actor proposed Arunachal Pradesh to be covered under his ‘Mission India Fit’, a fitness and wellness campaign that Shetty has launched across India. The fitness campaign as suggested can begin with by involving officials from the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) and other State Government offices to boost productivity.
To promote Arunachal as a filmmakers’ destination and to tie up with the entertainment industry, the Chief Minister will meet Bollywood’s top directors and producers during his stay at the hub of the Bollywood film industry, according to a press note from the CMO here. (Courtesy: AT)
