Biannual TOLIC meet held at ARTC&S


Dimapur, September 2: The biannual meeting of Dimapur TOLIC (Town Official Language Implementation Committee) was held at ARTC&S, Dimapur under the chairmanship of Colonel Anil Yadav, Commanding Officer No 2 Training Battalion, ARTC&S on August 31. Thirty five members of Central Government offices in Dimapur attended the meet.
Lt Colonel Bhavana Sharma, Secretary, TOLIC addressed the meeting through her welcome speech followed by a detailed brief on the various aspects of the TOLIC meet by Naib Subedar (Hindi Translator) Deshraj of ARTC&S. Representative members of various Government offices presented their inputs and reports on their respective progresses on implementation of Rajbhasha Hindi in their AORs and sectors.
After analysing the progress on implementation of Hindi in Central Government
offices in Dimapur, Colonel Anil Yadav stressed upon the importance of progressive use of Hindi and requested all members to implement the policies issued by the Government of India regarding publicity and implementation of the official language policy.
The chairman also emphasized on how motivational steps can be resorted to for implementation of Hindi by means of incentives and appreciations in all Central Government offices.
During the meet, importance of progressive use of Hindi in Central Government offices was highlighted and all members were requested to implement Hindi incentive schemes introduced by the Government of India in their respective offices.
Badri Yadav, Research officer (Implementation), Department of Official language, Regional Implementation Office (North East Region), also attended the meeting as the representative of Ministry of Home Affairs. He requested all the heads of central Government offices, banks and PSUs situated in Dimapur town to attend the TOLIC meet for effective implementation of official language Hindi in their offices. He further added that all offices must submit their report on line and on time to Official Language Department for speedy uploading of reports.
