Dimapur, September 9: Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) is observing Bharat Bandh on September 10 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. to protest against spiraling oil prices, which has touched all time high.
The NPCC said the bandh call in the state is purely voluntary as the issue involved is not about Congress alone but concerns people from all sections of the society reeling under the impact of high oil prices.
While due consideration has been taken to ensure that public are not put to inconvenience and routine life disrupted during bandh, the NPCC requested the business establishments to down their shutters from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. as mark of protest against the indifference of the central government to reduce oil prices.
Congress party workers will be putting up banners at various locations especially at fuel stations and also paste awareness stickers on vehicles, we request the public to cooperate and ensure success of the Bandh.
