Dimapur, December 1: Shalom Bible Seminary (SBS) in collaboration with Dimapur District Basketball Association (DDBA) conducted a 2-day On-Campus Basketball Coaching Camp in its pristine location in Sechü-Zubza, Kohima. Altogether, there were 33 trainees: 21 men and 12 women including students, faculty and alumnus.
Two coaches: Rajan Nayak & Chumben Lotha associated with DDBA ably assisted in the coaching during these two days. Dr. Sanyu Iralu, Principal of SBS said that this coaching camp was organized to enhance Shalom’s greater involvement in Youth Ministry.
On the first day, the routine was focused on “how to prepare during practice” doing full body warm up, exercises and conditioning drills which was followed by stretching.
And on the second day, the focus was on “how to prepare before game” using the drills for full body warm up (before game), exercise (before game) and shooting skills (according to game situations) which was followed by stretching exercises.
Senti Longkumer, Secretary of DDBA stated that DDBA is wholly committed to involve in coaching for budding players from the district in future.
