Barbeque Nation opens outlet in Dimapur

Dimapur, March 19: Barbeque Nation’s second outlet in Northeast India and first in Nagaland was formally launched today by the convenor of Public Grievance Cell, Dimapur Chamber of Commerce & Industry and President, GS Road Business Owners Association Dimapur, Omega Yeptho. The occasion also had the children of Ebenezer Orphanage Home as special guests.
Speaking about the facility, Suman Mukherjee, assistant regional manager of East India, Barbeque Nation Hospitality Ltd. said that the outlet in Dimapur is the 100th outlet in the country and this makes it a very special one.
He said that the outlet has half of its staffs from Nagaland and more will be recruited; besides, there are other Nagas scattered in other outlets in the country who can be brought here as they also want to come home.
He said that the prices of foods are cheaper in Dimapur as compared to other places because of low rent and other costs and though there isn’t a local delicacy in the menu yet and all are similar to other places, there would eventually be local items too as involving local foods have always been a way of the company.
Talking about the speciality, he said that the customers have the freedom to grill their own food on their respective tables and food will be unlimitedly supplied at a fixed price as long as they don’t ‘down’ the ‘I Give Up’ flag placed on their tables.
The eat-all-you-can buffet at Barbeque Nation showcases an array of vegetarian and non-vegetarian spread. The famous starters on offer will include Unlimited Prawns, Fish, Chicken, Mixed Grill Veg, Barbeque Nation Signature dish Cajun Spiced Potato.
To satiate the sweet tooth, the dessert menu comprises Chocolate Walnut Brownie, Gulab Jamun and Kesari Phirnee, along with a wide range of Kulfis at the restaurant’s most famous Kulfi Nation counter, where guests can mix various flavours and create different combinations.
Spread over 4000 square feet area on the third floor of Saviour Ministry Building, Dhobinala, Dimapur, the outlet has now 25 staffs in total.
