Dimapur, May 23: The Nagaland Baptist Pastors Union (NBPU) has appealed all churches under the union and all believers to join in 12 hours chain of prayer on May 29 (Friday) that will be organized by the respective associations’ presidents /chairman of the pastors unions and fellowships.
“This is a year of renewal and blessings at the same time a year of warfare and a clear call for prayer and repentance. Everyone is overwhelmed by the unprecedented crisis of COVID- 19 pandemic and by the ongoing lockdown. God’s children are called for such a time as this to pray and to go extra mile leaving aside our inconveniences,” said PBPU president Pastor A. Zakaria Chang and secretary Pastor Keyilunglule in a press release.
The union expressed appreciations to all the churches, conventions, councils and associations, districts administrators, legislatures, NGOs, tribal organizations and unions, wards and colonies’ volunteers, individuals for their prayers, help and generous contributions towards the need of the people in cash and kind and in different levels and capacities. It also saluted the tremendous works done by frontline workers, leaving aside their family and risking their own lives.
“Jesus as great Shepherd entrusted us (shepherds or Pastors) to be vigilant, alert, and protect His sheep. We assure you our constant prayers and supports at this juncture of worldwide crises. None of us will be a victim of this plague; together we shall overcome one day,” it added. (Page News Service)
