Dimapur, December 18: The Assistant Commissioner of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, Dr Shah Mohammad Tanvir Mosur hosted dinner for the Governor of Nagaland, PB Acharya on December 15 on the eve of the 48th Victory Day of Republic of Bangladesh at Prag Continental, Guwahati.
The Assistant High Commissioner brought out the importance of India and Nagaland in the liberation of Bangladesh. He stated that Dimapur airfield was primarily important as the first air missions were launched from there.
Governor Acharya and the Assistant High Commissioner discussed on how to strengthen three aspects including university, media and chamber of commerce & industries for the development and strengthening the two nations. They also discussed on how the youth could play an important role in shaping the future of the two nations and to strengthen the relationship.
The Assistant High Commissioner said that they were working on a documentary feature film on the victory day and the role played by India and Nagaland in particular.
The Governor conveyed his best wishes to the people of Bangladesh on victory day and urged them to further strengthen the friendship.
