AYO to organize discourse on demographic threats

Dimapur, May 16: The Angami Youth Organization is organizing a one day discourse on demographic threats and economic sustainability vis-à-vis unemployment and self employment on May 18 at AMK Building, Kohima, to be hosted by the Angamimiapfü Mechü Krotho.
AYO said the event is organized to address the pressing issues and challenges of random influx of illegal immigrants and the threats it is posing to our society.
It is pertinent to take measures beyond blame by taking responsibility for our future and posterity, it said.
“In addition, one of the major concern includes the Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB) which is likely to have huge impact. There are serious questions of how prepared we are to face it if it is blatantly imposed on our people.”
The lecture on the subject matters will be delivered by Savi Liegise, social worker and Richard Belho, entrepreneur and chairman, Zynorique.
The AYO requested the following organizations and individuals to attend the programme: Angami Public Organization (APO); Angamimiapfü Mechü Krotho (AMK); Angami Gazetted Officer’s Krotho (AGOK); Angami Sports Association (ASA); Angami Students’ Union (ASU); Southern Angami Public Organization; Western Angami Public Organization; Northern Angami Public Organization; Chakhro Public Organization; All Angami Villages Council Chairman and Secretaries; All Angami Villages Youth Organization President and Secretaries and
