DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 15: The Wokha district administration and DLCW-MSK in collaboration with the department of Health & Family Welfare and SAKHI-One Stop Centre (OSC), Wokha organised a one-day awareness programme on Pre-Conception & Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques (PCPNDT) Act and free medical camp under Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) at Old Ralan, Panchayat Hall under SDO (C) administrative headquarter on February 13.
Around 200 were registered in the programme. During the programme, baby kits to new born girl child were distributed and sanitary pads were also given to the participants. Also, free medical check-up was provided and free medicines distributed to the participants.
SDO (C), Ralan thanked the team for visiting the area and conducting such kind of programme. Thungbeni Kikon, case worker at OSC, enlightened the gathering about the activities of One Stop Centre-Sakhi and the various beneficial activities relating to the welfare of women and girl child.
Chief Medical Officer of Wokha, CW Tungoe briefed the participants about the Pre-Conception & Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques (PCPNDT) Act and the ongoing COVID-19 vaccination in the State.
