Aug. 5 rally: DCCI asks traders to close shops

DIMAPUR, AUGUST 3: In view of the proposed public rally called by the Nagaland Public Action Committee on August 5 at Super Market at 10 a.m., the Dimapur Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI) has requested all shops and business establishments within its jurisdiction to shut down shutters from 10 a.m. till the rally is over.
In a press release, the DCCI requested the business community to extend solidarity and support by taking part in the rally.
It also appealed to the business community and the general public to wear face masks while attending the rally.
Meanwhile, in a joint press release, the DCCI and the Dimapur District Citizens’ Forum expressed support to the public rally to press for early settlement of the Indo-Naga political negotiation.
They also appealed to all citizens of Dimapur District to “stop all other activities” and participate in the rally.
