Attached teachers file court case

Dimapur, June 26: In a major blow to the State Government’s move to redeploy attached teacher, the attached teachers have challenged the Government’s order dated 31-10-2017 by filing a case against the Government, and the Gauhati High Court has stayed the order.
This was informed in a press release issued by the All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU).
ANCSU assistant general secretary Imnameren N Jamir and education secretary Kruto Tetso said the union has details of teachers attached, namely directorate – 10, SDEO Kohima – 10, DEO Dimapur – 21, SDEO Dimapur – 12, SDEO Pughoboto – 9, DEO Zunheboto – 4, SDEO Zunheboto – 5, SDEO Niuland – 6, DEO Tuensang – 5 and SDEO Tuensang – 8.
ANCSU warned all the teachers who have filed the case against the school education department to immediately go back to their posted schools and perform their duties as responsible teachers and as directed by the Directorate of School Education.
ANCSU reiterated that it will not acknowledge any kind of attachment and deputation on whatever condition. Expressing displeasure over the case file against the school education department by the teachers showing their irresponsibility as teachers, the union asked those attached teachers unwilling to perform their assigned duties to resign on moral grounds if they have lost the sense of being a potential teacher and pave way for qualified candidates willing to teach.
